All we are saying is give peace and masks a chance

And so this is Friday and what have we learned?

The doors of Aotearoa swing wide open once more and here comes the world again. Some of us have our arms out in greeting, some of us are not so excited. Plainly the strongest line of defence from here on out is a mask as good as the one the medics wear around Covid patients.

Will I be spending the next decade perpetually pushing the damn thing back up my ample nose every half minute? Not if this little clasp the pharmacy sold me does the job of anchoring it from the back. And, of course, not if we beat the virus. But at this point I’m putting more hopes in the clasp.
