Karren said a while ago, There's a regional park I’d really like to take a look at one day. That day came last weekend when we turned off State Highway 1 on the other side of Puhoi. A very short drive along some spectacular hilltops and there it is, Mahurangi Regional Park. On a nondescript grey Queen’s Birthday weekend afternoon it still looked ridiculously lovely.
What does Mahurangi Regional Park have? Mahurangi Regional Park has walking tracks, sheltered bays, native bush, beautiful sandy beaches where you can plonk your fishing chair and throw out a line, and cosy tree-lined camping grounds.
