In response I will probably offer numbers: our comparative deaths, our comparative days locked down, our comparative economic performance. Would you rather have been here or take your chances in London or Los Angeles? And therefore, given that they say they are still now applying the same approach that achieved those numbers, namely: go safely and cautiously and be guided by the expert advice; and given they’re saying the expert advice is that with the level of vaccination and community exposure it’s safe enough now to open up some more, why would I not be saying fair enough like the dumbly nodding lackey I am?
Of course, there are people who raged against the vaccine now doing a victory dance, declaring the tyrannical government has finally seen the error of its foolishness.
