My very first paid regular job was mowing lawns.
Big lawn, it was. Up and down a tennis court, around the shrubs, then wheel the mower back into the garage alongside the two Chev Impalas and a Triumph 2000. My boss was a prosperous farmer.
The pay was $3 a time. Might not sound much but you could buy an LP for that.
