The Green Party has had a good line to reassure the uneasy middle voter: we used to be seriously radical, now we’re radically serious.

A middle voter watching the ructions and some of the excited commentary might take this as a return to the seriously radical. The party’s detractors will doubtless be saying little else for the coming year. But will they be right?
