Entree of cyclone followed by bread, olives and earthquake

There has been a great randomness to this storm. It may have done no more more than upset your garden furniture; it may have utterly devastated your life.

It may not even have come near. Hello friends in Central Otago, the blue skies have looked glorious, it’s actually been nice to be reminded they still happen.

I sometimes enthusiastically use that Churchill quote about the exhilaration of being shot at without result, but that’s not the feeling this is giving. It’s feeling like one thing after another after another and even if you emerge from your own home to find everything’s okay, you know that elsewhere in the State of Emergency it’s far from that; lives lost, properties ruined, and not over yet.
