Christopher Luxon has spoken out about airline management, saying a one-size-fits-all approach is not the answer.

It's all very well for someone in Auckland to say hey this is the way we’re going to fly the plane. But how can they know if that will suit a passenger from Ashburton?

Luxon claims it is not realistic to think that an entire country’s flying needs could be in put in the hands of some faceless remote baldheaded person in a boardroom.

If you’re a passenger in Ashburton you need to be able to hold the staff to account by walking into the Ashburton office and saying I want to speak to the manager.
And if there isn't an Ashburton Air New Zealand office there really should be.
They need to go away and look at that.

Luxon also questions how a mega-entity serving people all over the country could hope to give someone in Ashburton an answer to the question how many bags am I allowed with this ticket?
