When I wrote last week that we had been upended, what I meant was: the Covid got to me. Just what you want on your holiday.
Counting back, we think it probably got to me in a small Italian restaurant at the start of Labour Weekend, already full of arriving visitors for the weekend but just enough room for us as well. That virus does surely love a swamp of pooled air.
