He has in fact been achieving monumental things, but it's not a story you hear all that much because his opponents don't like to talk about his success and conventional media prefer conflict and confected drama and non-stories about an old dude tripping.
So he has been leaving the talking heads and swivel eyed christofascists and Murdoch pawns to it. They go off 24/7 while he just does his job.
