In Wellington this week I was given a Blue Penguin.

You're eligible for one the moment you take the 8.45 am plunge with the Blue Tits swimmers in Wellington’s Balaena Bay.

Here, have a mascot, they will say, assuming someone has remembered to bring one. But on my maiden outing last month someone had not.
