A law student made the news recently for going to court. J’accuse, he cried, pointing at Auckland Transport. J’accuse you guys of not following the rules. The judge agreed. They had not followed the rules.
So far, so administrative, and if this had been about not following the rules about, say, making pizza joints keep their floors clean, we’d have likely not seen a single news story about it.
But the thing they had not followed the rules about was putting in a raised pedestrian crossing.
