The strap-on PM goes local

Ages and ages ago, we ferried over to Waiheke one weekend to help friends plant grapes in their young vineyard.

We toiled happily away all day, imagining vintages ahead. It’s nice when you get to do something good and lasting.

What I really want to recall, though, is the dinner Kat put on that evening for us all. The food and wine was splendid, so was the company. With one exception: a loud dude who could not have been more sure of himself, who could not have been more confident in his inflammatory opinions and who could not have been more insistent on pressing them upon the rest of us.
