Here come all the predictions

Here come all the predictions

11.30am

I mostly have only the smallest interest in political predictions and treating it as a sports match. I want to hear about whether something is a good idea or not or how you might make it work better, not whose head might roll. I’m more interested in how we make Managed Isolation work than making a fox hunt out of the Responsible Minister.

But today I’m making an exception thanks to some Better Call Saul  fan thoughts I just watched on Youtube. A fan, a critic, was laying out where he thinks the story might all end up in the last season. He thinks it’s all a matter of the characters coming to know, and accept who they really are: Ice cool Gus, hiding in plain sight in his chicken store, running a multi million dollar drug cartel and having people killed as casually as you order chicken wings. He tells Mike: I know exactly who I am. They all come to know it. Walter White, the man who kept saying he was doing it all for his family, finally concedes yes he did it for himself, it made him feel alive becoming a murderous drug baron and America’s Best Meth Cook.
